Hi, I'm Sarah, 25. I write stuff. I read stuff. I hate bigots and pulpy orange juice, and I love otters, sleeping, and the following parts of pop culture (in no particular order): Avengers, Sherlock, Harry Potter, Dr. Who, Matt Bomer, Supernatural, Aidan Turner, Team Starkid, Batman, Loki, Community, Jon Stewart, people who make awesome fanart/fic, people who make shitty fanart/fic, Stephen Colbert, Ridiculously Photogenic Guy, photobombing animals, zombies, Jenna Marbles, The Hunger Games, Hannah Hart, The Hobbit, Being Human and, of course, you, tumblr.

In my ongoing quest to “outsmart the interwebs” (read: watch The Hollow Crown)…

I found a less restrictive (but more complicated) solution than Tunnelbear for British TV fans getting blocked from their fave shows. Tunnelbear is easy to use, but turns out there’s a 500MB limit per month for the free version, which isn’t enough for watching video (i.e., on BBC iPlayer). Apparently there are ways to just dl the videos and circumvent this limit, but I don’t know how safe those programs are.

So…I found a difficult but free, unlimited, and safe way to watch. As with last time, this is a more permanent solution for Mac users using Chrome (PC users can just download ExpatShield). If you’re only excited for The Hollow Crown, or just need to catch one episode of something, try to find a site that’s streaming it (way easier).

If, however, you want to be able to DO WHAT YOU WANT, ala Loki, follow me under the cut, where I’ve tried to explain it in simple terms (with visual aids).
